Orange Cake Recipe – Moist, fragrant and irresistible

🔥1. Preparing the oven and pan
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Grease or butter a cake pan and then lightly flour it.
Set aside.

2 eggs
225 g sugar (≈ 1 cup)
250 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
Zest of one orange
200 g vegetable oil or melted butter

2 cups sifted flour (≈ 260 g)
1 tbsp baking powder (≈ 12 g)
🍊For the syrup
200 ml orange juice
7 tbsp sugar

Step 1: Mix the liquid ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk 2 eggs with 225g of sugar until well combined.
Add 250ml of orange juice and the zest. Mix.
Then add 200g of oil (or melted butter). Mix until smooth.
