
Orange Cake Recipe – Moist, fragrant and irresistible
Step 2: Prepare the dry ingredients
In another bowl, mix:
• 2 cups of sifted flour
• 1 tbsp of baking powder

Mix well to distribute the yeast.
Step 3: Incorporation
Gradually pour the dry ingredients into the liquid ingredients.
Gently mix with a spatula, without overworking the dough.
Step 4: Baking
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake at 180°C for 40 minutes.
Check for doneness: a toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
4. Preparing the orange syrup
While the cake is baking, in a saucepan:
• Mix 200 ml of orange juice with 7 tablespoons of sugar.
• Bring to a boil, then simmer for 1 minute.
Keep the syrup hot.
5. Finishing Touches:
Once out of the oven, pour the hot syrup over the still-warm cake.
Let it soak in for 5 to 10 minutes.
Carefully unmold.
Serve warm or cold… and enjoy!
Tips & Tricks
• Add candied orange peel for even more flavor.
• For a lighter cake: replace 50g of oil with 50g of yogurt.
• You can use a bundt pan for a more elegant presentation.
• The syrup makes the cake incredibly moist: don’t skip this step!
