How often should you shower?

Every day, millions of people ask themselves the same question: do you really need to shower every day? Between cultural habits, bodily needs, and dermatological recommendations, the answer isn’t so simple. Too many showers can weaken the skin, but not washing enough poses a hygiene problem. So, how do you find the right balance? Follow this guide to adapt your routine without making any mistakes!

Define your skin type before choosing your rhythm

Do you think that the more you wash, the healthier your skin will be? It’s not that simple!

  • Oily skin  : Washing too frequently with harsh soaps can worsen the problem. By removing natural sebum, the skin produces even more to compensate, making the face even shinier. A daily shower with a mild soap is sufficient.
  • Dry or sensitive skin  : If you tend to experience redness, tightness, or conditions like eczema or psoriasis, limit showering to two or three times a week. Too much water and soap can worsen irritation.
  • Normal skin  : You can adjust the frequency according to your preferences and activity level, without too much risk to your skin.
