As a relationship progresses and trust grows, many couples begin to share everything… even things they shouldn’t. Love is beautiful, but sometimes it can lead to unhealthy behaviors that, while seemingly harmless, could affect the health of both partners.

 

In this article, we explore those customs that many couples practice without realizing that they are not as healthy as they think.

  1. Sharing a toothbrush .

Although it might seem like a sign of trust or a quick fix when you forget, using the same toothbrush can transmit bacteria, fungi, and even diseases like gingivitis or oral herpes. The mouth contains millions of microorganisms, and sharing a toothbrush facilitates their direct transfer.

  1. Sleeping with dirty sheets for weeks .

Some couples tend to put off washing their bed linens, especially if they spend a lot of time cuddling together. Sweat, dead skin cells, and bodily fluids accumulate, turning sheets into a breeding ground for dust mites and bacteria. Sleeping in dirty sheets can lead to skin irritations and respiratory problems.
