It’s normal to wake up briefly between sleep cycles. Around 3 a.m., the body enters a phase of light sleep. If your nervous system is sensitive, stressed, or emotionally overwhelmed, you may be more alert during this phase.
The key is to remain calm and neutral. Treat the awakening as information, not as a threat.
2. Resist the temptation to constantly check the time.

Looking at the clock tells your brain it’s time to calculate: how many hours you have left, how tired you’ll be, what you need to do tomorrow. This puts your brain into problem-solving mode.
