Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan/top heat) (180°C fan/fan).
Roll out the puff pastry and spread it with cream cheese.
Scatter evenly with sliced spring onions.
Place the smoked salmon slices on top.
Roll up the puff pastry tightly along the long side.
Cut the roll into slices about 2 cm wide and place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush with beaten egg.
Bake in a preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
