Susana De Castro, a 43-year-old woman, didn’t expect to make such a discovery when she returned home from grocery shopping. The British woman regularly shopped at Lidl. She bought a pack of apples for just £2.69. Upon returning home, she decided to try one. She took a knife and cut it into wedges. However, inside, she made a discovery that terrified her. She first noticed a kind of point. Susana thought it was a thorn. What was inside, however, was much worse. The 43-year-old filmed the scene to warn other consumers. The video shows her continuing to cut the apple. Suddenly, she removes something terrifying from the fruit.

There was indeed a toothpick inside this apple. Luckily, Susana didn’t bite directly into the fruit. With her husband Ricardo, the British woman decided to warn consumers. She explained: “I was very shocked. My 12-year-old child always grabs them.”
