The simplest bread in the world is, as its name suggests, incredibly easy to make. It requires just a few ingredients and doesn’t require much time or effort. The result will be a bread that’s crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, just like the ones from the best bakeries!
Step by step: First, mix all the ingredients in a bowl and knead well.
Then, transfer the dough to a work surface and shape it into a ball. Place it in a lightly oiled bowl and cover for 50 minutes, until it doubles in size.
Place the dough back on a lightly floured work surface and knead again.
Divide the dough into small rolls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Score each roll with a serrated knife.
Brush a little oil into an ovenproof glass bowl and place it upside down on top of the rolls.
Baking: Bake at 200°C with top and bottom heat, without fan, for 30 minutes. Then, remove the glass bowl, reduce the temperature to 185°C, and bake for another 25 minutes.
Then, remove the bread from the oven and place it on a wire rack to cool slightly before enjoying. Delicious!
