Procedure:
Start by washing your hands thoroughly to remove any dirt that may have settled on the glasses during cleaning.
Then run your glasses under a stream of lukewarm water to loosen any dust particles and make the next step easier.
Place a small amount of mild detergent on your fingertip and gently rub the glasses, face and temples. Avoid using conventional soap, as it may contain harsh chemicals that can damage the glasses.
Rinse the glasses thoroughly with lukewarm water to remove all traces of detergent. Then dry the lenses and frame with a microfiber cloth using gentle movements. Microfiber will absorb moisture and prevent scratches.
With the same cloth, gently polish the glasses until they are completely dry and shiny, to remove any remaining marks, scratches or marks.
Additional tips:
Avoid applying excessive heat, such as from a hairdryer or flame, as this may damage the lens treatment and make scratches worse.
If the scratches are deep or none of the above methods work, you may need to have your glasses professionally repaired or replaced with lenses.
