Step 1: Prepare the Pan
Line your 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides. This will act as a sling to easily remove the block later. Grease the parchment paper lightly with cooking spray or butter.
Step 2: Make the Fruity Pebbles “Rice”
1. Pour 4 cups of the Fruity Pebbles into a large bowl and set aside.
2. In your large microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and the entire bag of mini marshmallows.
3. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir. Continue heating in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until the marshmallows are completely melted and smooth.
4. Immediately pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the 4 cups of Fruity Pebbles in the other bowl. Mix quickly with a greased spatula until the cereal is completely coated.
Step 3: Form the Base
1. Transfer the sticky cereal mixture into your prepared pan.
2. Use the greased spatula or a piece of parchment paper to press the mixture firmly and evenly into the pan. You want a compact, even layer. Tip: Lightly grease your hands or the spatula to prevent sticking.
3. While the mixture is still warm and sticky, sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of dry Fruity Pebbles evenly over the top and press them down gently. This creates the colorful, “grainy” exterior that looks like sushi rice.
Step 4: Let it Set
Allow the pan to cool completely at room temperature for at least 1 hour,or until firm. You can speed this up by placing it in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.
Step 5: Assemble the Sushi Rolls
1. Once the Fruity Pebbles slab is firm, use the parchment paper sling to lift the entire block out of the pan and onto a cutting board.
2. Using a sharp knife, cut the large rectangle into smaller, sushi-roll-sized strips. Aim for strips about 2-3 inches wide and 4-5 inches long.
3. Unwrap your Fruit Roll-Ups. Place one strip of the Fruity Pebbles block in the center of a Fruit Roll-Up.
4. Place 1-2 gummy worms (or a few gummy fish) on top of the Fruity Pebbles strip, parallel to it. This is your “fish” filling.
5. Carefully use the Fruit Roll-Up to roll up the Fruity Pebbles block around the gummies, just like a sushi roll. The sticky Fruit Roll-Up should seal itself at the seam. If it doesn’t, press gently.
Step 6: Slice and Serve
1. Use your sharp knife to slice each large roll into 4-6 smaller “sushi pieces.”
2. Arrange them on a platter with the colorful “rice” side facing up.
3. For a final touch, you can place a small ball of green fruit leather (shaped to look like wasabi) and a light dusting of powdered sugar on the side of the platter.

Chef’s Notes & Tips for Success
· Work Quickly: The marshmallow mixture sets as it cools, so have everything ready to go before you start melting.
· Keep it Non-Stick: Greasing your spatula, hands, and parchment paper is the key to a frustration-free experience.
· Get Creative with Fillings: Don’t stop at gummy worms! Try:
· Snickers Bar Slices: For a “shrimp tempura” roll.
· Sour Punch Straws: For a pink “tuna” center.
· Chocolate Bars: For a “spicy tuna” or “eel” roll (use a brown Fruit Roll-Up).
· Presentation is Everything: Serve them on a bamboo sushi mat or a black plate for a real restaurant-quality look.
