Every time I bring it to a party, it’s an instant hit.
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the shredded mature cheddar and shredded smoked gouda.
Add the mayonnaise and cream cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Add the chopped roasted red peppers and stir until evenly blended.
Sprinkle in the onion powder and dry mustard. If desired, add a pinch or two of cayenne pepper for a bit of heat. Mix everything together well. (You can also use an electric mixer.)
For a milder flavor, add the dried parsley and stir it into the sauce. This step is optional and can be skipped if desired.
Once the sauce is well blended, cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, and ideally overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
Before serving, quickly stir the sauce to combine. If desired, garnish with chopped roasted red peppers or a sprinkle of parsley.
Serve the cheese and chili sauce with your favorite crackers, tortilla chips, or vegetable sticks. Enjoy!
