Five years after the release of his last album, Francis Cabrel gave an interview to Le Parisien on Sunday, December 7, during which he revealed that he was back at work, after feeling the need to take some time for himself.

In 2020, Francis Cabrel released his latest album, À l’aube revenant (At Dawn Returning).
Since then, the 72-year-old singer-songwriter has released several new tracks, including the single Un morceau de Sicre (A Piece of Sicre) in 2023, followed by Un gramme de terre (A Gram of Earth), whose music video was officially released on YouTube on September 18th.
In October, the artist also published the book Luthiers & Guitares de France: La Nouvelle génération (Luthiers & Guitars of France: The New Generation), with his company Chandelle Productions. This provided
an ideal opportunity for him to discuss, in the pages of Le Parisien, his passion for guitars, which he collects, as well as his admiration for the craft of lutherie, a traditional skill dedicated to the meticulous restoration of instruments.
Speaking to our colleagues, Francis Cabrel confided that he had “gotten back to work” to create new songs, having regained his strength.
